On the Horizon

Well well well…Here we are. I don’t want to waffle on too much this time – one, I’m sure I lose the attention of many when I ramble. Two, I don’t want to jinx anything.

Things to look out for in the future:

  • The Sims 4
It’s out in the UK on Friday – c’mon, you know I have to do a comparison blog, after my last Sims post. Will the Free Will make a glorious comeback? Stay tuned! (Or, you know, play for yourself. But you should still check in.)
  • Elder Scrolls Online
Holy hell, we’re on Update 3 now! And Update 4 is around the corner somewhere. Since I’ve not played the game since launch, I’m giving it another go on a new character so see what differences there are, hoping to see if it tempers the beta-oversaturation I was suffering. Update 4 and beyond will probably yield a similar activity, since it looks to change the way we think of the world at large – and realise just how much we’re all grubby little thieves.
  • ArcheAge Online
Okay, I know what the last blog entry said…but I did play the beta. I played it very casually, however, to gauge on a superficial-level how I found it. Now that I have had a tentative lick, if you will, I am looking forward to the release later this month. But, for a game that is largely advertised as PvP, how will a pokey, casual PVE-er like myself find it? And how will I know if my house is in a good neighborhood or not?!

Potential upcomings:

  • YouTube? YouTube
I’m dabbling. Tinkering. Thinking? Considering. In terms of blogs/vlogs, I may do SOME vlog entries on YouTube – but, primarily, my thoughts are using YouTube for all the random frolickings within games, as you do on YouTube nowadays. I had a little channel started, with not much but videos of my dog on it. So I’ll share the link once I actually have something to show you guys.

One last announcement. My husband, lordwelshi, has also started a YouTube channel dedicated to gaming. I’d give it a looksie, especially if you like horror games and grown men flailing from jump-scares, as his first foray has been the popular Five Nights at Freddy’s. You guys tell me if it’s good or not – I’m too scared to watch! (I hate horror games…) Also, I drew his avatar and did the flag in his new outro – which is pretty damn cool, if I do say so myself.
