Please Standby…

In the coming week or so, I’ll be redoing the theme for the website completely. I’m just doing some final testing on it in my sandbox, but it should hopefully be updated within the next week. During that time, I’ll have the website in “Maintenance” mode which means it won’t be accessible, so I’ll try to be as quick as possible. :) I’ve tried my hand at some CSS editing with child themes, which is a first for me on WordPress, so hopefully everything looks good! It’s been an experience, at least.

First phase is to get the new theme upload and running. Once that is done, I’ll take a look at reformatting some of the static pages, such as the Character pages – those are in need of an update and makeover, me thinks. But I can do that in the sandbox while the main site has the new theme update.

In other news, some may have noticed that there is a new sidebar widget for my Youtube playlist – this is a playlist of gaming videos that I’ve participated in. So far, it’s all for lordwelshi’s channel, but who knows for the future! I’ve finally figured out how to get Saints Row 3 to record smoothly on my own PC, so maybe I’ll jump in the editing fray?

We also now own a capture card! We’re still learning how it works, but it means we’ll be able to record us playing console games. The hope is to figure out how it works so we can record some of the new Super Smash Bros. WiiU game, which released in the UK tomorrow! Exciting!

I’m also playing Dragon Age: Inquisition at the moment. I might do a blog on it, but I’m really hesitate because I’m just not very far. I also don’t want to spoil it either. I accidentally came across a spoiler for something major and I’m not sure how I feel about it now, worrying about getting to that point of the game. Not cool! I will say that already, I’m in love with the companions. Companions that I thought I’d have no interest in are quickly becoming my favourites. It’s also adding more to my potential number of playthroughs…Eek! Considering how long one playthrough is meant to be, I’ll be tied up for the next year or so! But I’m looking forward to it.
